    Styling ADEAM with Ada Kokosar

    Ada Kokosar is an Italian stylist who has worked on our Runway shows since 2017. We gave her three pieces from our Fall-Winter 2020 collection to see how she would style them into her own wardrobe. We learn about her, and her work with ADEAM, in this recent interview.


  • HOW DID YOU GET INTO STYLING?


    Since I was a little girl I have beeen fascinated by fashion; watching my grandmother wear couture, hanging out in her closet and being mesmerized by all those sparkling accessories and prints and little shining objects.
    Eventually after high school I studied fashion and got my first internship at MTV Italy to style the VJs.


    HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?


    Timeless, effortless and original.


    WHAT IS A MUST HAVE STAPLE ITEM TO STYLE THE PERFECT OUTFIT?


    The blazer!


  • WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE COLOR PALETTES TO WORK WITH?


    I love especially all the hues of beige and white! They are warm and relaxing to the eyes.


    CAN YOU SHARE SOME CHALLENGES YOU MIGHT FACE WHILE STYLING? HOW DO YOU WORK THROUGH THESE?


    Challenges always come when there is a lack of balance, it could be an issue of wrong proportions, colors combinations that don’t match, unflattering silhouette.
    The way to go through this is to keep playing around until you reach a harmony and find balance. And when you get there you instantly know it!


  • HOW DID YOU MEET HANAKO, AND DO YOU REMEMBER THE FIRST ADEAM COLLECTION YOU STYLED? TELL US ABOUT THAT EXPERIENCE


    It was Fall-Winter 2017, I can’t forget!
    I was thrilled to meet Hanako as I was already a fan of the brand. When I stepped into the luminous ADEAM showroom facing West Hudson I was amazed to discover that behind that talented young girl, so graceful, chic and kind, there was also a business woman, confident and resolute. She was leading a brand knowing all the economical aspects as well as the creative ones. Being able to combine both aspects is such a great skill in the industry. We've kept collaborating through the years. It has been an amazing journey collaborating with her and her team, I've learnt a lot.


  • WHAT WAS YOUR THOUGHT PROCESS WHEN STYLING THE ADEAM FW20 SHOW?


    Over the years we have followed the ADEAM woman, growing up and getting more confident, strong and self-assured; for FW2020 she was ready to liberate her sensibility and femininity, feeling free to express her own personality, joyful and playful, mixing velvet bike shorts with a silk ruffled blouse..


  • TELL US ABOUT THE THREE PIECES YOU'RE WEARING. WHY DID YOU SELECT THOSE PIECES?


    I’m wearing a bordeaux turtleneck rib knit top and a two-way zip skirt. I love the fact that you can transform the skirt, zipping it out and make it into a mini-skirt. I love when you can play with an item and change it according to the mood of the day...
    I also picked up a white oversize sweater, I love the ruffle cuff detail... It is a delicate detail but it makes the sweater so rich and special!


  • WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT ADEAM?


    I love the preciousness and quality of the fabrics, the way they are cut and crafted dress you up instantly with an effortless and ease. I love that the richness of the fabrics combined with the construction creates voluminous silhouettes while remaining very comfortable and edgy. The brand is ultra chic and refined with a charming and feminine subtle sophistication.
